Hi

DJ-JFK (The funky UK DJ) here with a great selection of Brit-Funk for your enjoyment! These tracks are hand picked for their funkyness and groove ! Brit – Funk was a very important part of my musical heritage and later gave way to the more general term of Jazz Funk. Of course the main thing here is that we Brits gave the Yanks a run for our money and showed we could be just as ‘Funky’ ‘This side of the Pond’

In addition our Brit Funk groups were so accessible back in the day - The US bands were still to come over with their spectacular shows but, these ‘London Boys’ proved how hard working they were with a non stop routine of ‘clubbing’ and ‘Weekenders’

Download and play in the car you’ll see the furry dice appear as if by magic!

Hey there JFK, it was awesome listening to your Podcast, Nobbi sent me the link to give you a listen. My name is Angel, I’m from America, and for some reason funk and soul has died here. I long for it so much that I’ve just recently attended the first Caister Soulweekender in the UK.

You taught me a few things while listening this evening, I had no idea Central line was from the UK and that Yasuko sampled from Light of the World, i thought it might have been the other way around, i always wondered and now i’ve got the answer. Anyway’s enough babble, thanks again for sharing this with all of us.
